Find out which research topics for 2024 have been voted for by ALLICE members!
In 2024, we updated our process for selecting research topics to bring it into line with our growth and to take account of the diversity of our members’ profiles, which span the entire decarbonisation value chain.
Working groups were organised around four key themes:
- Circularity and economic and financing models
- Integration of renewable energy and electrification
- Heat
- High-performance processes
These working groups brought together many of our members, who were able to discuss matters amongst themselves in order to refine the proposed topics put to the vote!
Find out now which topics will be covered in 2024:
- Benchmark of support schemes and measures in European countries for the decarbonisation of industry,
- Flue gas treatment as a means of industrial heat recovery,
- A summary of prospective studies on the future availability of biomass,
- The roll-out of heat pumps in industry: the market, integration challenges and emerging solutions,
- A review of prospective studies on the future availability of hydrogen,
- Barriers and drivers for the roll-out of thermal storage.
As part of our 2024 strategy, we also wanted to take account of our previous work (which now comprises more than 30 studies), and we will be proposing new topics later this year, aimed either at continuing previous studies or updating them.
