A two-day workshop in Lyon for the European INTREPIDH project!
On 20 and 21 January, the European INTREPIDH project brought together partners and guests to discuss a key issue in the energy transition: the link between district heating networks and industry.
The morning was devoted to public and institutional stakeholders, presenting a side-by-side comparison of their French, German and Danish counterparts (the role of ADEME and CEREMA in the EnRezo project and its recent update, the scope of local authorities’ activities, AURA-EE, etc.).
The afternoon session brought together those involved in day-to-day operations, with district heating operators (Coriance and Dalkia) and industrial customers (Syensqo, Arkema) sharing their views and perspectives on their needs and expectations regarding heat supply. The Danish experts also contributed their extensive expertise on the subject, presenting insights into the reuse of waste heat for district heating.
Collaborative workshops on district heating networks
Participants worked together in workshops based on their profiles:
- For public and institutional stakeholders, the workshop invited proposals for measures to strengthen the links between district heating networks and industry.
- For those involved in day-to-day operations, the workshop involved defining a framework for a business model that would be beneficial to each stakeholder, based on various typical use cases.
Finally, the two-day event concluded with a tour of the CETIAT technical centre, which hosted the event. This tour gave participants the opportunity to see the test and certification benches for all the technologies used in heating.
